For me, there is little doubt that this nuclear disaster is being allowed to unfold. Have we seen this treated as a global catastrophe, with global resources marshalled to deal with it? No. Instead we’ve watched the acknowledged incompetent TEPCO bumble their way forward as massive quantities of radioactive water pours into the Pacific Ocean and the mainstream media, for the most part, behaves like this disaster doesn’t exist as indeed do most of the public, and the Japanese government acts to hide the scale of the disaster from their own people. It’s but one more example of how the human frog remains in the pond as the temperature rises.
