Most people take themselves and their lives to be their beliefs because they have no sense of themselves beyond those beliefs. When you question those beliefs, they behave as if you have attacked them, because that’s how it feels to them. All part of the programming.
Works well but there are signs it’s breaking down. The faster the better.
