Those in the IT security space have long known of American security back doors into the encryption algorithms used by the industry, so it is interesting to see this being exposed in the public domain.
Some interesting fallout from the Snowden revelations is that American companies are beginning to report their overseas business is suffering as a result of the revelations about the practices of the NSA – CISCO, IBM, Boeing to name a few. Perhaps this if nothing else will see change in how the NSA and their friends operate.
