I grew up hearing how WWII began with Hitler invading Poland on September 1st, 1939 and, I suspect like most, accepted that it was simply Hitler’s desire to take over the world that drove this. As Napoleon purportedly said: History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon. The question is, who is party to the agreement? From what I have seen, it is not the obvious, visible parties.
As I’ve said before, I usually do not go looking for the things I post about. They come to me, in one way or another. This is one of those. Somehow, this short video came to me. It contains some salient points:
- At the end of WWI, part of Germany was annexed to Poland, leaving the area known as East Prussia isolated as per this map.
- Most of the population of this area between Germany and East Prussia were ethnic Germans
- These ethnic Germans were being killed prior to Hitler’s invasion, such that 80,000 ethnic Germans were in concentration camps in Danzig and the German Reich prior to Hitler’s invasion.
- An estimated 58,000 Germans lost their lives in massacres carried out by “Polish civilians” and NVKD units prior to the 1939 invasion.
I have to say, I was surprised to discover all of this and I wondered if it was accurate. Also, I had never heard of the NKVD. So, I went looking.
Firstly, there is this reference to Bromberg Bloody Sunday as well as the Danzig Massacres.

Polish atrocities against Germany that led to the German defensive Invasion in 1939 were many. This was one such atrocity.
On one day alone – Polish Jews, under the protection of the Polish Army, attack a small German town and viciously kill 5500 Germans. Polish Jews were confident they would win against Germany and went on a rampage of ‘ Blood Lust ‘ that was unmatched. Groups of Bolsheviks attacked from Ponz, Lotz and Warsaw approached the town and started killing the farmers on the outskirts. Children were nailed to barns, women were raped and hacked to death with axes, men were executed where they stood.

The 1939 Danzig Massacres
The Polish Bolsheviks kill 58,000 German Nationals in the Danzig corridor In the months leading up to the German invasion the Polish Army and independent Bolshevik units had been slaughtering German nationals in the Danzig corridor. Mass killings of thousands of civilian ethnic Germans (Volksdeutsche) by both civilian and Russian NDVK Jews, who were confident that Poland would quickly defeat Germany. Many apparently expected to take possession of German farms and businesses. An estimated 58,000 German civilians lost their lives in the massacres carried out prior to the 1939 invasion.

Now, the above is written with emotive and provocative language, but that does not mean it’s inaccurate.
This book entitled “Death in Poland – The Fate of the Ethnic Germans” corroborates this story. I quote:
The deportation and expulsion and the mass murder of the ethnic Germans before and at the beginning of the war in Poland was by no means confined to the “Bloody Sunday of Bromberg”, which is only too often downplayed or even denied outright today. In this book the reader experiences almost first-hand the terrible fate of tens of thousands of ethnic Germans in Poland at the outbreak of the war in 1939.

Now, it should be noted that the Bromberg massacre was on September 3rd, 1939, two days after the beginning of Germany’s invasion, but it does appear to be part of a far broader campaign of attacks upon ethnic Germans, as the concentration camps demonstrate, and the Danzig corridor massacres of some 58,000 ethnic Germans appears to pre-date the German invasion.
Also this quote:
In mid Aug 1939 the Poles started to arrest Germans [ethnic Germans]. On 24. August, 8 ethnic Germans were just simply shot. (Jong, L. D.: „Die Deutsche 5. Kolonne im 2. Weltkrieg”.) Referenced in the German White book No. 2 [*Accusing simple farmers by the hundreds of thousands as a fifth column – this was an easy way to create hate in the locals and murder the Germans.]
In document Nr. 396 – it’s the government offices who issue the liquidations of ethnic Germans. 5,000 Germans were eliminated by Polish patriot unions.
Mid August 1939 – 75,535 ethnic Germans fled Poland. 20,000 death of ethnic Germans in Poland shortly before and after begin of WWII. (Seraphim, Maurach und Wolfrum: „Ostwärts von Oder und Neiße”.)
The ethnic Germans were beaten to death, stabbed to death and mutilated before they were murdered.
Most of the murders were done by Polish soldiers and policemen; but also by civilians. (Jahn, H. E.: „Pommersche Passion”.)
Because of this, more than 1 Million ethnic Germans fled from Poland to escape the terror. Up til 1934 the ethnic Germans had a judicial recourse, but after that the Poles were allowed to drive them off, steal their property without punishment.

So, who were the NKVD?
Here’s a particularly forlorn historical date: Almost 90 years ago, between the 19th and 20th of December 1917, in the midst of the Bolshevik revolution and civil war, Lenin signed a decree calling for the establishment of The All-Russian Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution and Sabotage, also known as Cheka.
Within a short period of time, Cheka became the largest and cruelest state security organization. Its organizational structure was changed every few years, as were its names: From Cheka to GPU, later to NKVD, and later to KGB.
We cannot know with certainty the number of deaths Cheka was responsible for in its various manifestations, but the number is surely at least 20 million, including victims of the forced collectivization, the hunger, large purges, expulsions, banishments, executions, and mass death at Gulags.
Whole population strata were eliminated: Independent farmers, ethnic minorities, members of the bourgeoisie, senior officers, intellectuals, artists, labor movement activists, “opposition members” who were defined completely randomly, and countless members of the Communist party itself.

Now, as per this post, it is clear that the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia was of Zionist origin, which strongly suggests that the NKVD was also of Zionist origin, and perhaps also the KGB.
I quote further from the above article:
And us, the Jews? An Israeli student finishes high school without ever hearing the name “Genrikh Yagoda,” the greatest Jewish murderer of the 20th Century, the GPU’s deputy commander and the founder and commander of the NKVD. Yagoda diligently implemented Stalin’s collectivization orders and is responsible for the deaths of at least 10 million people. His Jewish deputies established and managed the Gulag system. After Stalin no longer viewed him favorably, Yagoda was demoted and executed, and was replaced as chief hangman in 1936 by Yezhov, the “bloodthirsty dwarf.”

And the author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, one who experienced the horrors of the gulag, also “let the cat out of the bag” on this, which was followed by much effort to stuff it back in.
This article also discusses the cooperation between the NKVD and Polish Jews, and this one discusses the actions of the NKVD in Ukraine.
So, if you examine the timing of things, it looks to me as if the Treaty of Versailles, allocating as it did a part of Germany to Poland but leaving East Prussia stuck out by itself, was done to set the trigger for a subsequent invasion by Germany to protect its own people. This was followed by attacks on ethnic Germans in Poland by Polish and Russian Jews prior to and during the German invasion of September, 1939.
Not quite the picture we are spoon fed, and certainly not the picture you will glean if you read Wikipedia.
Frankly, the history of WWII is littered with so much civilian murder and displacement as this description of events in Poland during and after WWII demonstrates, and I do not understand it well enough to write more fully on the subject, nor to seek to apportion responsibility for the incredibly complex web of abuse and displacement experienced by so many in that time. Just a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to have coffee with a wonderful, elderly Hungarian man who had come to Australia after WWII as a refugee, and he shared with me a little of his and his family’s struggles during and after WWII. His story is but one of millions, but the profile of the real drivers of the two World Wars are emerging from the mists of disinformation.
Let me repeat that I am not in any way anti-Jewish, nor do I wish to represent Hitler as an innocent, as he clearly was not. But, in my view, the pieces of the puzzle pointing to how WWII began – indeed, how it was pre-planned at the end of WWI – are very clear, and it’s time we understood what is going on in our world and who is driving it, and these events during the first half of the last century have a great deal of bearing upon what is happening today, as I shall further elucidate in coming posts.
