For me, apart from the nanoparticles concern, the most important issue here is how the public continues to expect the FDA acts in their interests, when in fact they are part of the deception that allows things that are very dangerous to human health to enter the food chain. This story about how the GRAS (generally recognized as safe) designation has been completely hijacked is but one example.
I have mentioned the doctrine of substantial equivalence – the mechanism within the FDA that sees GMO products flow unfettered into the US food chain – in the past in this regard. And if you have trusted Wikipedia in the past as an information source, let this piece of propaganda on this subject help to disavow you of that position.
